Hello I am new to writing at lets just say an older age. I have completed three manuscripts to date and have two more underway. After much research and alot of emails I am still unable to break the ice with any Lterary agencies or publishers. I purchased the latest copy of the Writers and Artisits Handbook and followed the instructions to the letter but still no results. I am looking for advice as to how do you get these folks to look at your materials. Not being from the age group that is very computer savy I don't do all the social sites and blogging as some places have suggested or the posting of my writing online. I simply do not know how or where. I really was hoping to find some of you good people on live chat but again my searches for an active room that is not just another adult playpen has been futile. So if any of you out there have any valid suggestions I would be very happy to hear from you.

There is a book called "How Not To Write A Novel" by Sandra Newman & Howard Mittelmark which contains a section at the back entitled - 'How not to sell a novel' which basically informs you of everything not to do so you know what you can do to sell your writing...if that makes sense. I've found the information within the book most enlightening
