Hey guys!
My name is Brooke, but please call me Quill.
I'll be fifteen May 2nd, and I've been writing since before I can remember. I may not be the best in the world, but I love to do it and I hope to pursue it as a career one day.
I love all animals, and I am currently volunteering at a local veterinarian's office after school. I hope to go to a college to major in zoology and literature and minor in biochemistry and American history. After college I want to go to vet school to -obviously- get my vet degree. I would like to start out with small animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, small lizards ect.) to get my footing and then to move onto wildlife.
You'll find that a good ninety-nine percent of my writing is related to animals in some way, shape or form.
I horseback ride also and have been doing so for almost nine years. I love it so much, it's one of the only sports I actually enjoy. I am presently leasing a seventeen year-old arabian gelding(neutered stallion) named Cloud. I love him to bits and I feel that we have a really strong connection; we can practically read each other's mind in a sense. Oh yeah, I ride in an Equitation and Hunt Seat.
I own two Golden Retrievers, Lily and Ginger. Ginger just turned ten years-old while Lily just turned three. They are quite the opposites of each other but they get along brilliantly so no complaints from me. I also have two domestic short hair cats, Leo and Denny. Leo is turning one year-old next week and Denny is turning one year-old on June first. I also have an Australian Dwarf rabbit named Cupcake, she's seven years-old.
I'm in the ninth grade and being a freshman isn't so bad when I've got a hot-shot junior for a brother.
So that's my life in a nutshell. In an even smaller nutshell, it comes in three words; riding, writing and animals.
I'm really excited to be a new part of Creative Writing, and I hope I can fit in here
